Ingalls Shipbuilding is a shipyard owned by Huntington-Ingalls Industries, a Fortune 500 Company. I was brought on as a contractor to help with any outstanding jobs as well as to improve any workflows and inefficiencies the company had with the design process. Through the amount of work I streamlined and applied my skillsets to, I was offered a full-time position, to which I accepted. Over the course of working at Ingalls Shipbuilding, I would be put in charge of various campaigns, publications, Christening collateral, etc. These are some of my pieces of work I designed fully which I feel proud of. In particular, I can say I have designed coins for Naval Ships, the branding for Naval Ships that can be seen worldwide, a publication which made it into the hands of higher officials at the Pentagon, and murals which will have an everlasting impact on the company.
I also earned many awards for the publication called The Anchor through PRISM, Lantern, and AAF. My rebranding and further exploration of our annual Family Day (a day to invite all shipbuilders' families to see the ships and shipyard in-person) collateral earned AAF and Lantern awards. My first primary campaign for recruitment I worked on while contracted, Their Mission Our Purpose, also earned awards from AAF on the Gulf Coast for it's branding, applications, and reach.
